Printer's Apprentice can create a text file list of your installed fonts or files from the currently selected
folder or font group. This is useful if you want to save a list for backup purposes or if you need to import
a list into another application. You can customize the fields that are included and the character used to
separate fields.
The same font list options dialog box is used for both File | Save Font
List and Edit | Cop Font List.
To create a font list:
- Select the fonts to include in the list clicking the checkboxes next to each
font. If you don't select any fonts, then all the fonts will be included.
- Select Save Font List from the File menu or Copy Font List from the Edit menu. The options
dialog is displayed.
-
Use the options screen to select which font fields to include and the character that will separate the fields.
- Check the "Include full file path..." if desired.
- Click the OK button.
- If you are saving the list to a text file, then you will be prompted for a file name. If you are copying the list,
it will be placed in the Windows Clipboard and can be pasted into other Windows applications.
